    Rossignol fks185/ look p18 on Praxis #2

I am going to put these on my praxis, I have the fks 185 with the wide brakes. I had thread a few weeks ago about this, and wondered if I should get them heli-coiled, reason for this, is I have seen these bindings rip out of k2's in the heal. I emailed Keith and the two ash stingers are too far apart for the heel pieces. I have the money to get is done but if I don't need to I can get these mounted for a lot less. Has anyone else mounted there praxis with these bindings? Thanks
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Mine are mounted with FKS 150s, no helicoils. But they have one mellow day on them and don't look like they're getting any more use this year. I'll let you know how they work out in 8 months.

Seconded, please explain the ash stringers, fat yeti. Are you saying that Keith added to the core 2 ash wood strips whose primary purpose is to be reinforcement to hold binding screws solidly? And P18 screw pattern is to narrow for those stringers.

no heli's, no problems thus far. the skis have seen plenty of all sorts of (ab)use, and have held up spectacularly thus far. they're definetely more bomber than my tankers (which is saying quite a bit)

I'm not that big though (165ish), if that changes anything.
