So I have been trying to ignore this thread and forget the pics I have seen of the Rubys. Happen to be telling my buddy about them while in the Alpine summit lift line, look up ahead and BAM! see the Rubys in person. Jesus they are beautiful skis.

I'm curious about the Ruby's as well. For those possibly in the know, would the 180 Ruby's be a pretty comparable ski to the 183 Gotama? (I know the Ruby's are a little wider but not by much)

Looks like the dimensions are almost exactly the same as the nordica blower(139/110/129), ruby(139/110/130) lengths are different though.

I know Basom did a review in this thread http://tetongravity.com/forums/showt...ht=moment+ruby

But I'm curious of any non-superman type individuals have skied it

    ^ditto.

I was out with some Mags (666, Arty, and a few others whom I recall their real names but not their TGR ones) on Sat., one of whom was ripping the V-Tree on Thunder Bowl @ KW on a pair of the Comis.

That might be a little too much ski for me (plus I have Spats), but the Ruby seems like it might fill a slot in my changing quiver. I was on 94mm King Salmons and getting tossed in the mank, taters, and crusty pow. Part of that is my skill, but also that ski is kind of light and nimble for those types of conditions.

If there's any feedback, for us mere mortals, on the Ruby and how it compares to other similarly dimensioned sticks, that would be cool. While I have never skied them I have flexed 'em and the Blower seems a little soft/noodly. Where does the Ruby fit?

    Danke!

    lets talk freeski

okay so im looking at the reno jibs. they seem like a supersick ski but the whole squared tip is the only thing that seems sketch to me. i mean does it look gay in real life. i ski armadas right now and they're flex is nice. flex is important to me. does anyone ski on the reno jib?

Reno jibs have a nice flex, more of an all-mountain flex. The Reno rocker is pretty soft.

Found this TGR guy checking out all the Moment Skis at Icer Air...

I don't know, how hard do you flex? Can you roll deep?
