A Kiwi a Welshman two Sweeds and some powdertuns in late May
The wind has kept the lifts closed for a few days. Then it rained. But this morning it looked clear ish and calm ish. Time to head up and see if there is still any skiing. The rain left snow up high. At the top I met up with a few folks. Skiers I'd seen around on and off all season but not skied with. Things looked nice so we headed out to look.
The intrepid mob - Mont Blanc du Tacul behind.
We found some nice snow
but decided to keep it mellow
And just enjoy the views
The snow line had dropped far enough for us to ski almost all the way down the glacier without rock hopping or ice running. We did still have to climb the ladders. Now starting to fill up with tourists!

Your playground is cooler than my playground. Sigh. Got to get back!

Your photos all year of Chamonix make me realize I need to get there. I've been to La Grave but never made it to Cham. Looks like I'd have to spend *a lot* of time there, too.
APH: Don't fret. Cham doesn't have Pica's. (Although, as far as I'm concerned, they can take the one in Wilson; it blows.)
