    2007 Atomic Binders

Did a search didn't see anything.

I totally forgot about this, but remembered today going through next seasons catalog. Atomic's freeride line of binders, FFG (Fly, Float, Grind?), are just rebadged Salomon binders. The 12 Din version is a Z concept binders (new from solly this year) and the 14 is a s914. They are white and black and come with a sticker pack to steeze it up. The neox is still around, but aimed more at carving skis now. These binders will also come in sets of three to accomodate the triplet skis.

Makes sense I guess, since Ameri-whatever bought Salomon last year. Never thought it'd be so blatent though. Atomic is now in the realm of Fischer/Tyrolia, 4FRNT/Vist and Look/Rossi.

I was talking to a shop owner about this. He said since Salomon and Atomic are owned by the same company who's name is escaping me right now, that they are combining bindings a little. The neox and such are still gonna be their high performance bindings and the rebadged Salomons are gonna be on the jib sticks and the lower rebadged Salomons on the beginner equipement.

The "Team Issue" version will still be the re-badged P18.

To recap above, the rebadged sollys are their high performance binders, in the freeride category anyway.

Solly has always done the JR binders for Atomic

I don't care whether it's blatant or not; getting Atomic branded 916s and 920s is something I think I can deal with

The 1018's are pretty good imo (well, even better than that, have had less problems with them over time than with Look ZR/P18 or S916) but I aggree that the "lesser" bindings are POS for anything outside recreational groomer stuff.

    MeatHelmet is correct I believe.

That got me thinking, what if Adidas started making ski boots? Be on the lookout for black boots with three white stripes on the side.
