Pics: New Capital El Jefe
Only a month late...
well fucking worth it.
These skis are fucking sick. Construction is very beefy. Not quite as fine as the igneous, a few rough spots, but they feel bomber.
Very thick.
Surprisingly stiff too. Went with a medium flex in the tip, medium stiff underfoot, and stiff in the tail.
By the igneous scale, I would say tip is at least 240, tail is at least 250, maybe 260. Close to as stiff as my recent (now vicious') 190 FFF 265 RA. Stiffer than my new 190 FFF 240.
184 seems a bit short, but I think because these babies are fairly stiff it will be ok.
Overall -
Very happy. A capital big mountain twin maybe a possibility, depending on summer job and my need to buy at least the lotus 138.

Nice. I see a pair of Thrashers in my future to replace the Spats for powder skis. I can deal with a few rough spots if they cost about $300 less than Iggys. Sick looking boards, I like the Walnut with the Maple stringer look too, pretty hott. Is that the small twin or the full twin on those?

I will get a almost complete (missing lotus 138....probably pick up next season) pic up once these get mounted and the Kingswood arrive and get mounted.
I will go grab my 183 gotamas and line them up together. I dont think it is a short 184 at all, though.
Only reason I say it is short is Ive been on a 190 FFF basically all season.
Full twin as well. it is kind of hard to tell which end is which.Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

One more question, did you go with the Maple/Aspen core or the Maple/Ash core on these bad boys, and what kind of camber do they have to them?

So....They are actually a pretty short 184.
They are about 1cm shorter than my 183 gotamas and basically the same length of my 179 Seth Pistols.
Actually annoyed they are that short....but I think the fact that they are pretty stiff makes up for it. They are much beefier than both the gots and SP.
Makes a BMT very appealing now. Or a lotus 120...Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

k2 measures in a strainght line tip-tail w/ their twins.

yeah, the seths are a 182 or so.
my old 189 SVs were a few cm longer than my 190 Igneous.
I'll see if I can track down a tape measureSeriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Nice pics. Let me know when the KW's arrive. I would like to see whether they measure a short or long (or just right) 185.
