Yesterday the dumps/Hero’s were soft at 10 and the Face was amazingly soft and flat at 11:30.

Après-ski party at the XO House.

    I’m now officially Gramp’s.

    Congrats!

We’re skiing (walking?) into Markley today with the kids. I’m hoping to catch a last run at the Crown Jewel tomorrow afternoon.

Fun times this weekend. Good stuff up at Markley and the boys both skinned both in and skied out of the hut, so they were very proud.

We all caught a final Ajax lap together after some CP Burger. Another great season in the books!

Perfect weekend. Saturday ended up being a perfect touring day we got up on cathedral and it was great, then as ideal a closing day as you could ask for yesterday. Aztec was stupid fun. Not ready for the lifts to be done I could happily slush ski all year round

    ASC was Jim’s baby.
Now that he’s gone, I’m hearing the possibility of divestment.

It wasn't last Sunday, and plenty of snow and snow patches still on the road then.

Road is cleared, gate is closed above Ashcroft.

Biking has been $$ in the mid valley. My allergies are making me not ride right now though.

    RIP Weems Westfeldt.
I imagine some of you here knew him or his family.
Had the pleasure of spending summers in RI with him and his family. Taught me how to windsurf. Babysat for his kids. Made several trips out to apsen/snowmass to ski with them. He was a funny, smart and unique individual. You will be missed.

I didn’t know Weems well, but he was an Aspen legend.

    RIP

Didn't know him but I've skied and been on some trips with Packy and his wife a bit and gotten to know them some over the hears. I'd heard about Weems and his presence in the Valley and industry over the years. Legend!

How far up is it a tough hike to get to snow to ski on any of the ski areas?

I’m in the Keys, so no up to date beta.
Elk Camp work road to Coffee Pot is generally the last, easy route.

Can’t you just go inspect Independence?

I know it’s not the 15th yet but any more news on Ashcroft gate. With the update that pavement was dry thought I’d check back in
