Yours for beer money... either you pick them up or if you happen to be not far off my work driving route I might able to drop them off.

Pretty good opening day at Fernie today. Pretty thin lower mountain, but good coverage higher up (for early season). It snowed at least 15cm during the day so patrol kept upper Lizard and all of Cedar closed today. Even upper Curry closed in the afternoon. Hopefully more opens up tomorrow.

Thanks for the info guys. Ended up going Saturday and it was decent south of Driftwood.

And apparently Barrier has about 8cm of standing water on it after today's weather... Considering it was raining to about the top of Glacier chair today, even higher elevation lakes probably didn't fair very well. Guess it's kind of a natural zamboni though?

Last 48 hours has REALLY transformed the Lake. Pretty good skiing today by any standards. And it came down wet enough that it's packing down nice and firm as a base once skied on. So fingers crossed, the season just got a lot better.

That's their plan. But might have gotten delayed today with patrol having to do a lot more control work than they had probably anticipated. And there were delays with chairs this morning due to weather. All adding up to them maybe not getting as much work done as expected today. Guess we'll see.

Well with community ski day prices this weekend, things should get packed down nicely. Go bury the snakes for me. Currently dumping in Canmore.. Turned from rain to snow a couple hours ago. 10cm on the truck

Summit was about as well filled in as I've ever seen it on opening day. Maybe we need to start getting more Whistler weather!🤣

Yup, I'll second that! Great first day out for us. Better than expected for sure. Hopefully we get a couple more of these storms soon!

Fernie - 3 days of great skiing as an opener directly followed by 3+ days of heavy rain directly followed by 35+cm of heavy PNW POW. What a start.

Fun opening day at KH. Not as much terrain available, due to conditions, and the ski out below catamount, was heinous. But otherwise it skied well and everyone seemed happy for the first day back.

Skied Panorama today, and coverage was excellent for what has been a dry start to the season. Summit was open. Summer grooming makes a big difference.

Summer grooming? Do you mean trimming the bush? If so, that makes sense.
