Jeans sucked to ski in back then and they still do now. It's good that another generation will know how much jeans suck. 27 at the top and 38 in the village with heavy snow would go nicely with Jean Day. Can you even buy jeans now that would go over your boots ? I do want to see DJ rocking the camo one piece though....Wearing dark shades, over the ear headphones and a mean look for any tourist that asks about it.

lots of people have their own parking hacks that have discussed in previous threads BUT it's going to take 4 to get free parking at the ranch lot this year. And it's now $18 instead of $15 for below 4

Last season, skiing with lindenle and some pnw mags, we had a fat OB day.
A few laps in, I pushed ahead and was gonna stop at these trees, where we usually stop to plan lines down the next pitch.
I come trenching in and slowing to a stop just with the trees on my left.
At 1/10th mph, I stuffed the left tip into the second tree , which rotated me ever so slightly uphill.
My momentum sent me downhill. So I gently fell between the 2 trees.
It's about 16" deep and soft and punchy below that. I uncovered my head and realized how absurdly stuck I was. Hung up between the trees.
I bust out laughing. Almost uncontrollably. It doesn't get any better than this...falling into deep pow.
Lindenle rolls up and starts laughing, wtf dude? He takes this picture then asks if I need help, I say no. Then yes.
Even then, the cartwheel into the soft after he punched my heels was fun.
Click into the deep snow specialty sollys, everyone rolls in and away we go.
I'ma say it was Jackattack and Shroom, that day.
Choice.
Sooooo much snow last season.

SLC Mag Baron rolls the canadian 2 piece daily. He seems to make the best of it.
I'm hoping for some babes rocking some elephant bellbottoms on jeans day.
That camo one piece just attracts conversation, oddly.
I approach each question based on the person asking.
The hunter guy asking about the camo and do I hunt - he gets a welcome.
The racy dude from wherever racy, I act like a hick with new to me thrift store legend pro riders, 1st gen.
The dad with kid pointing at me gets me encouraging the kid to be a bum.
The ski bunny in bogner and 156's gets the full charm and an invitation to try-outs later.
The little starry eyed ripper chick gets an invite to an immediate audition.
It's the village, the tram line...laissez les bon temps rouler.

I can't remember who I was turning with on any given day. Fat seasons become a blur for me. Head down, moving forward.
Always feel free to correct me.
J-hy, are you returning this season?
Good pics ski220, nice farming on the double fall line.
Rj's Hut. Home base.

Mwahahahaha ... depends on the temperature and moisture content Wore my full set on a Pow day at Alta last season kinda by accident..thought it was a 4-6 inch day and it was a 9-12 incher>thigh deep or deeper on some angles. Snow was so light it never froze to me or got me wet(just a little below the knees)
Wound up skiing jean/jean jacket every Pow day last year that was at least 25 degrees F or colder; during storms too.NP
Nice to see th estoke start up here DJ! I just got shin deep pow this morning on a before work hike,,best 15 inches I ever rode /about 8 inch base in LCC + the storm last night was about 6-8"

Was it mid 2000’s? I think in 2010-2015 range there was a female skier who fell in once and suffered a brain injury.

Just an FYI but Teton Pass will be closing for about 2 hours on Monday morning starting at 10am so WYDOT can test their systems. We need to be able to see them to verify, so that's why it needs to be done during the day. The parking will be closed from Sunday night until the closure is lifted.

This!
Way to get your furrow on!
Folks out here in Cali aren’t terribly fond of sowing seeds like this, so nice to see legit farmers in full effect out your way.
And I just popped in because an old college buddy of mine works Patrol at Sleeping Giant and I’ve a hankering to get out there at some point, if only because of its cool name.
It’s also been over a decade since I’ve hit JH, GT, and SK…
Here’s to a good season for you folks!

FKNA, yer not kidding.
That was a sweet combination of fresh pow on a stable base and not many skiers until the Holidays.
Just goes to show ya that even today, the skiing can be tits around here, not always a shitshow clusterfuck of tt odds.

On a perfect canvas pow morning, you will absolutely get some heat if you jank up the lines.
Eventually, obviously; right outta the gates? Fuck off gaper.
Everybody gets a fresh one top to bottom.
I'd like to ski Sleeping Giant too. I casted out to see if anyone from there would jump in but haven't heard yet.
It's a long winter drivearound from Jackson too. 133 miles in summer, 350 in winter.

The Sleepy G. Lol, harkens me back to my Cody slummin days. Used to just trash that place. Set a sick snow shoe trail to the tippy top plateau way back when. God we used to get stoopid in the parking lot at the end of the day.
Some super sick lines back to the road or resort up there.
That entire N. Fork drainage has some insane skiing if you’re willing to work for it.
Edit to add; that phat track poRn TFT put up makes me have a funny feelin in mah pants! Sign me the fuck up!
