AC - I shot that last year. Hopefully it portends what's on the way.

I confirmed with Bachy that this is a temporary snow stake while a new one is being finished.

hmmm...I expected a little Tap-photomagic, but not time travel!

disappointed, how can i vicariously live through others closer to the hill if not through current photos?

I have been stoked for the season to get here for months now. While it's not even Halloween yet, love to see things headed in the right direction!!!

It’s a six month season, plenty of opportunities.

I figured it was an older photo, no way it was taken on 7” over dirt

Yep, not even getting excited yet. Currently more excited to go on a topical vacay in 6 months than think about low tide skiing. That obviously will change when lifts start spinning.

That temporary snow stake and the organization responsible is being cyber bullied over on Reddit /bend.

Please change the title to El Niño (strongest since 2014) - all the schralpmaccio references may remain.

It sucks here - flat, crappy snow, crowded, lifts break constantly

You forgot the rime. And they don't plow the roads anymore.

No one posting Hoodoo’s report of 15”?

It’s all fun and games until October snow makes January avalanches, even in Orygun! Keep this storm layer in mind later in the season if poking out onto alpine terrain!
