Here we got a view over a tourist group through the glacial valley of Valley Blanche actually called the Mer de Glace.On the other side the wall leads to the DRU.Anyone who read Messner knows about this mountain - I thought about this as a possible location for me and Dan Mazur to try ice climbing in the little icefall below it - and maybe try the Dru, too.But now I think it would be fatal.Although we are not in the Himalaya, alpine peaks are not neat, nice or comely, but lethal climbs , some routes probably unclimbably.
