Soft slabs were easy to trigger on any aspect steep enough to get them to go. Could pack a punch if you were in the wrong spot. Seems like everything should settle out quickly. Deep trail breaking out there today.

End of the day Snowbird is reporting 40" in last 24 hrs, which is undoubtedly b.s. Alta is reporting 29", which is probably more accurate. Been snowing solid without stop since then with 3" to 6" more predicted for tonight. Tax day rocks! Unfortunately, it is supposed to get warm (45+ degrees) and sunny Friday through the beginning of next week, but right not it is skiing like tits on Ritz.

Was in the first wave of folks out High Baldy when they opened it at 245. It was overhead without much effort, all the way to Chip's. I'm a slow skier, and it was way deep. High Baldy closed again at 330, it seemed like Patrol wanted folks to get a lap in there for being patient . I loaded last chair on Peruvian at 4, and everything skied super soft and deep, just on the sides of the main run down. Back at the car, it snowed 2 inches on my skis while I drank a beer from 430-5. It was still dumping when I left. 40" as of 830 PM may not be an exaggeration. Tomorrow AM will be fantastic!

Alta's saying 29" as of 4ish pm. Regardless of what they are it's deep as hell. UAC looks to be down still.

Any chance your stop-action photos were taken on a certain NE-facing hill in Upper Mill D yesterday afternoon? Were you the party of 2 who were just leaving as we arrived because the slope wasn't steep enough for the depth and density of the snow there?

Face shots were shared yesterday,. That was a nifty 30 at Alta. However, the High T required hockey skates in places.

Best runs were the powder pillows, 3rd's, Stonecrusher, and believe it Jitterbug. Lots of stoke in this storm.

on a side note I was hoping to scatter some of Brian's ashes at the top of Bad News but Ballroom was closed for the day. Best I could do is down a yellow red bull and take flight. I hucked tree air. Still have it at 45.
