PM Gear needs new customer service reps...
Payment Details Buyer: PM Gear
Subject: Refund on Bros
Message
Note:
Nothing could make me happier than severing all ties with you on this transaction, Chad. I have no room in my circle of friends for such a vile person as you. Please don't call me, email me, or communicate with me otherwise in the future.

Like I said, I have no room for people like you in my life. Business or otherwise. Your immaturity is astounding, BRO.

Pat, even if you're right, he's still the customer and you're still the spokesman for the company. It just don't look good.
But, Truth, get real.Last edited by Cornholio; 03-28-2005 at 04:48 PM.
It's idomatic, beatch.

Truth, if Splat actually refunded you your purchase price plus 4%, you should not be dragging this on.
Heck, either way it should be let go. You wouldn't get that kind of honesty from a big company, either good or bad.

I know some people must still be interested reading this stuff, but I'm pretty fucking bored with it.

In all honesty, this is fair, if not immature.
I'm going to stop caring about this now.It's idomatic, beatch.

PM Gear has done the best that we can to deal with the Bro production issues - including taking the hard hits. But that's part of the nature of the beast. Being a small company, yea, it affects each one of us personally that we couldn't do it perfectly the first time around, and the feeling that we let any one of the maggots down hurts a lot. But to dump it all on Pat is not only unfair but underserved. He's put blood, sweat & tears and much more than any of you know into the project.
The manufacturing BS that he has had to deal with has been emotionally and financially draining. we're sorry more than any of you that we made a bad choice there, but as TyroneShoe said elsewhere, we're working diligently to fix them so that the good word that has been spread about the BRO's can be lived up to next season. We're just as anxious as everyone else to put the final round and move on to a better experience the next time 'round.
just let this thread die, PLEASE everyone.
it'd be much appreciated,

You know Truth, you probably believe that you're turning people off to PM Gear through this ranting of yours. All of your posts have served one purpose...I now think that you're an asshole and nothing will change that. Thank you for making that very clear well before I ever wasted my time meeting you. At least Pat was man enough to try to keep this between the two of you.

Posting emails online is pretty fucking lame. Splat shouldn't have responded to this thread, in no way will it help anything.

So hard to stay out of this. Sad to see two very cool people with a rift between them.
The only question I will pose is: "If truth or another maggot were to get a similar email response from another ski company would this post be acceptable?" [meatdrink9 thinks back to a post from bad roo about line skis in which Jason Levinthal acts like an ass and nobody get's after bad roo. I believe splat even chimed in that you'd never get a response like that from PMGear]
We gots to be honest here.

i didn't care to read that thread either. and i think the situation was a bit different. not that it even matters. I'm not sure how well splat and truth know each other, but the tact taken by both on this issue i find to be not strong to less than not strong.
bfd, i guess *shrugs*

I agree with what MD9 said, lets look at this objectively, at least as much as possible at this point.
I won't voice my opinion publicly on the issue because it really doesn't affect me and I'd prolly come off as a jackass if I do, but you can rest assured that this has swung my opinion 180 degrees from where it was only days ago.
Well, what the hell, I might as well let loose my $0.02 on you all, as it seems this is the thread for it. I really gotta side with Truth on this one, big time weak on the part of PM Gear USA and Pat, at least IMHO.Last edited by glademaster; 03-28-2005 at 05:36 PM.

You put words to what I have been thinking. Customer service is a topic of concern to skiers... there are constantly people airing their experiences with companies, both good and bad here on TGR. This thread, though unfortunate, is no different and deserves to live.

I'm was going to say I wouldn't touch this thread with a ten foot pole, because this is definitely a lose-lose situation, but since I've posted:
<backpack pokes the thread with a 10 foot pole>
There, I've done it. Whew. Time for a nap.

<soapbox>
1) Maybe Truth has acted immature but Splat on behalf of PMGear has acted truly unprofessional. Seriously what else could have been the possible out come when the public is made aware of a customer that ordered his skis a mere two moths ago gets his special delivered to a hotel room while others that have been waiting 4 times as long go with out? Then to respond to the customers outrage with even more inflammatory language and expect him to just take his money and leave it be. Not even the most cool minded of us would have let it go after that.
2) If threads spewing about how great a company and its product is are allowed to stand with no one asking that they be placed in PMs it is just as important if not more so that threads showing the flip side of typical buyer experience are kept public.

Maybe truth can delete the thread, so we can have another thread about how wrong it was to delete a thread. Sheesh guys!
My side: weak on both ends!
