Ski pant suspenders
My Patagucci Powder Bowl pants are awesome, but when they slip down too low they get absolutely gigantic. What do you guys do about suspenders? Are the Armada or Line ones any good?

Arcade belts work great. Wide heavy duty elastic stretches to move with you but always remains snug. Being one of the hexagenarians around here I'm carrying around a few extra Labatts in he midsection which tends to encourage my pants to obey gravity... The Arcade belt fixed that. So yeah, they're kinda like anti-gravity devices for your pants.

Get the skinny arcade version
I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I've been using suspenders sold by Chums, elastic band about 1.5" wide, plastic clips. The plastic clips are so-so. They sometimes slip off the pants, and they will only work on a fairly thick waistband. Better than using the suspenders off my tool belt though, since the metal clips on those get coild, and will destroy my car seats if not careful.

Button suspenders are the only solution.

I love these ones, in my 4th season on a pair (second pair of ski pants) without problems. I have a seamstress sew the backs into the waist of the pants otherwise my pack rips the clips off. Using clips on the front has been fine.

Workwear suspenders/braces. I have some Brimarc brand ones that are pretty good (Euro/UK brand I think). Get 2 inch width ones anyway.

if you go with an arcade belt, go skinny. i can't use mine on any of my ski pants because the belt is too wide. Thing works great on other pants though.

check out my thread from not long ago: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ght=suspenders My patagucci's don't have belt loops or anything to attach the suspenders to, so perhaps a different problem. And I haven't done anything with them yet, just tried the pants this past week and yes, I need suspenders.

I know it's easy to go to the internet for advice, but is it really that hard to buy a pair of suspenders on your own? (Sorry, but it rained here last night at 6000 ft.)

Duluth Trading Co has some side-clip ones that I really like. Retry cheap too. Get the metal clips though. I snapped a plastic one last year. Beyond that, I love them.

If your pants have belt loops then a belt and these OR suspenders are the best I've seen/used. I think they go for around $20.

Nothing that a little snow won't fix. Don't mind me--I already have suspenders.
"Why does a fireman wear red suspenders?"
My kids think I look like a dork with my high waisted pants and suspenders. They're right. It is crucial to let the suspenders dangle and pull your shirt or sweater out of your pants to cover the high waist, when in public without your jacket on.Last edited by old goat; 01-24-2013 at 06:01 PM.

Only wear your base layer under the suspenders! Just throw the rest on over so you can ditch a layer without having to fully undress. plus it covers the dorkey suspenders...
oh, and your kids will ALWAYS think you are a dork, that's what kids do.Be more like your dog...

ARCADE BELT. Your life will forever be changed. It moves while you ski and you never feel restricted.
