    WTB: Big, burly skis

I have been out breaking skis and now need a new pair. What is the most indestructible pair of fat skis around? I need something that can take a sound beating and which can rail it through chopped up heavy snow.

i'm pretty sure the skis roo just destroyed were im103's.

at least he had a thread about how he got some sweet 103's a few weeks ago. now he has a thread about being on a ski destroying mission, and in need of new big indestructable skis.

i am just putting two and two together here, and i might have come to five.

Nope, you got it. If anybody wants to buy the very rare Head im103 twin tip, I'm open to offers.

Nice skis as Iggies are, I don't think I could ever countenance dropping a grand on a pair of sticks. That's terrifying.

Anybody got a line on 190cm Nordica W105s?

if you don't mind blown sidewalls the stockli dp's are great.

Add up the cost of the skis you've destroyed in the last two years+. I bet it adds up pretty close to the cost of the Iggies. You won't kill Iggies. You'll ski them for a bunch of years. You'll get your money out of them.

the topsheet layer (on top of the top metal layer) is really easy to chip . Not structural but it pissed me off to chip about a 1"*.5" section off on otherwise "pristine" looking skis.

I'm rapidly beating the shit out of mine. Ask Skijunky what happened to his at Jackson. Great ski. But not indestructible.

I want to know how the 103s got destroyed. From my experience with 103s, there has to be a good story in there somewhere....

Yes, MT destroyed a pair of 201 Roids, but I dont remember how. Also have heard that warranty from Stockli is nonexistant or just really a pain depending on the day. I never had a problem with my 'Roids, but I havent had a problem with my 103s either. Guess I am just a pussy

my legend pro's are dead. little camber left in them... that being said, they are still super fun, but after coming up short on a jump i really shouldnt have shorted, i think that was their last straw... they flexed the wrong direction so badly, I was sure they were toasted... no sidewall cracks, but that are different for sure.

    anyone want to buy them?

    damn,
    nevermind buy Iggies.
I have broken Atomics, Evos, volkls, Pres ( yeah Im old, so!) and heads.
Stocklis have been bomber, in fact my ski shop mang has told me he is amazed that my edges in my stormriders have held on with the hits i have taken next to them on the base.

Was it just that one jump that screwed 'em? Or was it them weakening over time? how many days did you put on em before you destructed em?

I was less than impressed w/ the durability of the Asteroid. Managed to seperate the top sheet from the ski and blow out the sidewall (with no impact. It was a spontaneous deal). They asked me to send them back. When I did they said they couldn't find anything wrong with them in terms of construction so it must have been my fault. Great company for sure
