We were freaking out yesterday....and we're seasoned 20 year Engelberg Veterans. I definitely had some REALLY good days there before, but yesterday was otherworldly.

    Galti must have been crazy.

Yes, it confirms what the Guide was telling me, he was saying today was one of his Top 5 Days in Engelberg after 20 years working there as a Guide.

In the morning when the visibility was really poor, it was still snowing pretty hard to our surprise, we went down Steinberg, i swear at the top, in certain pockets I couldn’t feel the bottom. Then it kept on getting better with the Sun coming out. 10/10 day.
It truly was, one of those days.

The Stars aligned. Normally I'd have to work, but my seniors I have Wednesdays have final exams and my 10th graders have "week at the workplace" internships. Luckily I have both Wednesdays and both scheduled things were the same week and that happened to be the week of the best day of the season.

Is my biking trip to Morzine in late June fucked with all this late April snow?

They'll have 3m in the valley. I'd cancel it immediately.

June 20-24. Tacked on to the tail end of a trip for my sister's euroside wedding, so got no wiggle room on the dates.
I know every year is different and last year the whole place was open early June.
Maybe it'll just keep on snowing and I can make it a ski trip.....
