Get up there early. People will still be working, so the closure will probably be after 6:30am.

from the article:
"Crews will be firing cannons and other devices to test for accuracy and safety at different locations throughout those canyons during those days."
Don't know about you all but I wouldn't want to be out touring with random cannons periodically lobbing ammunition at me.

^^^
A full metal jacket helmet.
Recent inquiries state wind is playing havoc with the timing of this shoot. Right now it's on hold. I suspect it will proceed tomorrow as advertised. My source sez it will be a quick one, in and out. They surely wont bring anything to the road, not enough snow yet.Johnny's only sin was dispair

Any more info on this?
Don't want to get caught behind a closure tomorrow.
edit: from the snowbird site:
"Tomorrow, November 18th there will be a temporary road closure at 630 am from gate B up for data collecting. Estimated time of re-opening for the road is apprx 830 am. Interlodge travel restrictions will go into effect for the entire Snowbird village at 7am."

Right, the first one can be done solo, if I'm following technique and stuff.
