    Roger Corman RIP

One of the greats. 98 years old and I haven’t seen anybody say anything nasty about him. That’s an accomplishment on its own in my opinion. I just read that he never fired one of his directors, apparently just out of basic human decency. RIP

    He produced some classics:
    Death Race 2000
    Battle Beyond The Stars

And provided a springboard for a lot of talent:
    Ron Howard
    James Cameron
    Jack Nicholson
And many more I can’t think of off the top of my head.

Wow, 98! I didn't realize he had packed on that many years. But then that goes for many of us, I guess.

Yea, a lot of film people connect back to him in one way or another. Almost seems like everybody of note that came up in the 60's and 70's. RIP

I worked on a couple of Corman films in the early 90's at his studio in Venice. If you worked at Corman, you were either on your way up, or on your way out of the business. I was on the way out but it was still fun. He would drive into the lot in an old station wagon, the dude threw nickels around like they were manhole covers but he always had a smile on his face. RIP Roger and long live AIP!

his career in engineering lasted only four days; he began work on Monday and quit on Thursday, telling his boss "I've made a terrible mistake." Soon after he found work at 20th Century Fox as a messenger in the mail room, earning $32.50 per week

    RIP

I loved GTA. Didn’t know Ron wrote it w his Dad who was also in it as well as his brother. It was kind of hard to forget Richie Cunningham, but the movie worked. Saw it in Victorville where it was filmed
