1st of all - do you have any idea how horrendous okbye is? It makes me feel like I'm dealing with a 11 year old korean girl.

That said - Oso is our 10 year old whippet. We got him when he was 2 1/2 and he was pretty messed up from his original owners not treating him well. He's been house broken since we got him - but as of late, he started crapping and pissing in his crate and in the house.

That's with 30 minutes outside first thing in the morning, and him spending less than an hour in a crate while the wife drops our son off at school.

I've gotten some irate phone calls from the wife - after coming home to 2 shit and piss covered dogs (they share a large crate).

So I've had to tell him that he's got 2 paws out the door on the way to the glue factory. Don't think he understood.

Huh. My parents' dog (part whippet) does the same thing but she's always done it as a way of punishing my parents for leaving the house for a long time / going on vacation, etc. She, too, was used and abused (and hit by a car) before my folks got her at age 1. So maybe a little insight on the behavior, but it doesn't explain why your dog would start doing that after all these years. Hope you get it figured out.
