Sunday I sat on the lift listening to a bunch of youngins (18 maybe) talking about a game they over heard a bunch of " old patrollers " talking about and a movie. I asked if it was the game of GNAR, THey all looked at me and asked if I knew of this game. As I exited the lift I said absolutely, and proceed to yell that I was the best skier on the mountain slipped through the crowd and smiled all the way to the bottom thanks again Shane ......

Watched the McConkey flic on Netflix over the w/e. I'll be honest - didn't know much about the guy except he went huge and died doing so. From the point his daughter was born to the end I was practically begging him to stop ski-base jumping so the movie would end differently. He didn't, it didn't. So tragic. He lived life to the fullest and we're all better for it, but still - he should have quit.

I skied Winter Park on Friday. It wasn't my first choice for the day. The snow was still good. I got the Spatulas out for the first time in too long. I had the most fun on skis in a long time. Good snow, with a good friend, on skis that put me in my happy place. I ripped the shit out of every run. Thanks Shane.

Don’t we all, talk about a guy who really, really lived life. Still makes makes stomach hurt to think he’s gone.

LCC was going through an amazing storm cycle and two friends had just experienced Spatulas for the first time that day. Thank you Shane.

I can't believe it has been 15 years.
