Words fail.
He made it look easy, and suffered fools like me gladly. He will be sorely missed.
And I can't imagine how his loved ones must be feeling right now.not counting days 2016-17

Wow, never met the guy, but damn he provided me with a lot of priceless entertainment, since I first got interested in big mountain skiing and watched him rip AK lines in Focused. This is really saddening. RIP, condolences to all who knew him.

As I was watching Claim last night I said to my wife "Shane would be so much fun to ski with."
When I saw that he worked with the Make a Wish Foundation to give a child the opportunity to ski with him it had to be the classiest thing I'd ever seen a pro skier do.
Through his amiable personality and clear love for life he touched countless lives without even knowing it.
My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and friends.

He was an amazing man, i don't know what to say... he obviously inspired so many people and if you were ever lucky enough to ski with him, it changed your life, I know that it changed mine.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
Thank you Shane!www.DeathCookieEntertainment.com
Sometimes fear just means that you need to push your shins into the front of your ski boots and fuckin send it!

Very sad news. Skiing will miss one of the most insanely talented skiers, and one of the most hilarious dudes, to ever appear on film.

That's the worst news I've heard in a long, long time.
He was one of the rare people in this world I could look up to.
Fuck that just sucks.
Many thoughts go out to his wife and kid.Last edited by wanghoeby; 03-29-2009 at 12:17 PM.

Fuck that, that guy can't die!!!!!!!!!
Terrible news! So much more than just a great skier. Out of the box thinker who I always admired, even back in the day when I hated skiers, I still thought he was the man.
My mind is blown.

I was just re-reading again the story of the spatula and was thinking man this guy just rules.
