    Snowbird Storm Day POV 1/24-25

It's dark bc it was filmed during this weekend's storm, I tried messing with the levels but ended up leaving as is. I am waiting on the goggle mount to come in this week, so the angle might be a bit off.

I would love to get it on vimeo as widescreen, the divx conversion altered this. Any thoughts?

I don't think you're having enough fun. Try having more fun than that, and see how that works.

Looks fine to me - good song too.

Just fix up the angle and you'll be all set!

I think you need to ski faster....I mean you were totally crawling along through most of that video, besides those trees had tons to room....

Seriously though, definitely some good stuff in that post. Who did the tunes?

That's funny 'cause I just downloaded Oracular Spectacular last night, so obviously I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing....Those guys kick ass though.

Stay out of there, leave that to the alta folk, stop wasting your vert. Looks like the snow sucked over there anyway.

Great video. good song for the storm day vibe.

    great album!

i like the pov, just one question, what was the object blocking the left side of the screen for portions?

i assume the aforementioned goggle mount will correct that?

    my full face dood...

haha nah, its just my goggles and helmet visor. i like the look of this on widescreen more, but with such limited real estate I agree it gets in the way a bit.

    deinterlace before export
    get quicktime
    export with h.264 codec
keyframe every 30 frames w/frame reordering on
restrict to 5000 kbits/sec for the data rate optimized for download
    multipass encode
    upload to vimeo

Basically follow the directions for the HD upload on the vimeo page will get awesome results. They say go with a 3000 kbits/second but I wouldn't go lower then 4500 or so.

Nice! Remember though, that the embed feature doesn't allow HD. It will always look better on the vimeo page then the embed but... still looks good!
