Jan 1, 2009! Tahoe TR - Sloppy Seconds on Maggies

    Happy New Year!!

I am just happy to have some snow in Tahoe, and to get out.

Skied Maggies on the West Shore (right near Emerald Bay). Got in 3 laps, with the first having good snow and the second two changing to uber-mank.
--Gorgeous day, good friends, great views, and SKIIN'!!

    LAP3:

The last run was rough, the slop stuck to everything: bottom of skis, boots, legs, etc.

    THE END!

Looks fun! I need to get my BC Jong ass out one of these days.
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

The pictures make it look good. Can't believe you went for more. We were on the next area to the north and only did one lap that day. Thought the downhill was more work than the uphill and we looked like the picture in the other thread.

We both have little kids, and both of our families were out of town.....this was our shot at a big day....even glare ice wouldnt have stopped us.
