MPC #22: Architecture, September 16 – September 29
The Rules:
1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
3. The contest moderator will choose 5 of the photos to put in a poll for the mags to vote on and decide the winner.
4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way not an option)
5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Theme: Architecture
Whether you live in the city, the suburbs or the mountains you can find something to take a shot of. It has to be a man-made structure that has a function (e.g. building, bridge, tower). It can also be an element of a structure (e.g. staircase, window, door). A good shot of your next door neighbor’s crack house is better than a mediocre shot of a Frank Gehry building.

Yeah, I usually check "the usual suspect" websites right when I get home from work to see what's going on. Saw this post and had to go out and run some errands anyway so toted the camera along. This was taken within 3 miles of my house. Got a few other good'uns too but am waiting to take more pics over the next week and see if I get anything better. This is a new kind of photography for me, kinda fun to focus on something different.

Not gonna get a chance to get out and shoot again before the end of the contest, so here are two more entries taken the same day as my first entry (9/16).

A few pictures I took for work of a new hospital (Catholic in case you can't tell)- mostly just as documentation, but I thought these turned out OK. I am mostly a menace with a camera so feel free to tear them apart...
St Francis Hospital chapel
Chapel again from a slightly different viewpoint
Chapel stained glass
This one wasn't in the specified time frame but I thought it was fairly cool and how often do I get to post pictures of a 22' tall stainless steel saint
