    Photo TR - Chicago/Washington D.C.

I finally went through the pictures I took on a trip to Chicago and Washington D.C.
    Chicago first.

    View from the boat taxi:

That is Donald Trump's new building. The women I was with said it was his version of acting out penis envy.

Mrs. Vets and I doing the postcard pose on a scenic boat ride:

I found this ad at Navy Pier:

I was hoping to find one for the Baron at Fox, but I didn't see one.

    Millennium Park, "The Bean":

    I'm having a happy handstand:

    More fun being had:

The Chicago area also has a great Forest Preserve system.
Here are a couple of shots taken on a hike close to where my Dad lives:

    Washington D.C. coming up next.

    Washington D.C. Fireworks First

I had a great view of the fireworks on July 4th.
So I thought I'd try the fireworks setting on the digital camera.

I also tried messing with manual settings too:

As well a video of the finale:

More from the 4th available here.

More pictures from Washington D.C. next.

    Excellent use of the Bean.

Sorry we missed you guys, the house buying process got very hectic for us when you were in Chicago.

    More from Washington D.C.

I noticed that Teddy Rooselvelt had the same snowboard technique as my friend Curtis:

Washington Monument as seen from the OLd Post Office:

Renting a bike is a great way to see things.
    Library of Congress:

    The Capitol:

U.S. Mail airplane at the Postal Museum:

    A couple of night shots:

Hopefully the next time I'm there and/or when you are skiing out west.
