    Second Life

So I just ran across a reference to this in today's PI.

Has anybody else heard of this. For some reason something about the whole concept is sort of sad and depressing to me.

We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.

You've just heard of Second Life? Welcome to a few years ago. Yeah, it seems lame, but most things do until you try them - and no, I haven't tried it. It seems lame.

    Sad...but all the rage.

Google launched a virtual world a couple of days ago called Lively.

So far in 2008, virtual worlds have raised over $300mm in capital...there are a lot of em out there.
