Windows Movie Maker to edit short movies?

First off, I don't want to buy anything else because I just want to screw around with the movie capabilities of my digicam. So, that being said.... does anyone use Windows Movie Maker to edit simple ski clips and make them into a short movie? I was messing around with it and it doesn't seem too difficult. Anyone have any tips or advice when using it? Can you import MP3's for the audio clips?

yes, I did a bunch. They're on http://www.thepoolroom.com/walshy/. Any of the .wmv files. It's pretty basic, but it does work for simple stuff.

WMM = OK & you can add MP3s. Mebbe post this in photo/video?

It totally works...just throw the clips in, add some music, and make some ghetto fabulous titles....

if you just want the basics wmm will do just fine. I used it for a few short films i put together, nothing great, but you do get a lot lot more in terms of editing if you ever decide to upgrade to another program. Right now i have adobe premiere elements and its great.

sker666, that music just gave me a seizure! Gonna watch it agian now.

WMM works great for basic stuff. It gets a little confused when it tries to deal with too many clips so that when it renders the mp3s won't play smoothly like in the video below. It also crashes the computer frequently so save often, don't run other programs in the background and render small portions at a time, say 5 minutes maximum.
