Undercover USFS agents lurking at smoke-huts!
There have been reports throughout the ski industry of plain-clothed US Forest Service agents pretending to be "cool" then arresting some of our pot smoking brothers and sisters for blazing up on chair lifts and at smoke-huts. Alta, Vail, Crested Butte, and other unnamed ski resorts have had this happen so far this season. Be careful out there kids... Having "safety meetings" suddenly isn't so safe anymore!

Gosh. You know I would just stick to doing whatever with just my close friends that I trust and ignore the guys asking if they could buy a doobie.
I remember when they did this in Aspen and in Vail when i lived there. Just a way for the feds to say they are doing something and wasting more of our money.

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

last season cops dressed up as slope watch here and busted people at all the well known shacks. Earlier this season there were gun toting sheriffs on the hill, what the fuck?

just keep your skis on and wear two shells.
probably arent many FS officers who could catch your average mag skiing out of the woods on their home hill."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Get a medical card
Get a Card Hippy!!! That way you can tell the USFS to eat shit when they are trying holding you down while they call the Sheriff and wait for him to haul you off...USFS can't do anyting but wait for the cops

quote:
"Nielsen says the skiers weren’t breaking the law just because of possessing marijuana, but also because they were smoking it while skiing at the resort. “According to the Colorado Skier Safety Act they violate the law whether they ski under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Just a couple hits of a joint or drinking a pint and they’re considered under the influence,” he says. "
Too bad they won't start arresting the tourons at the on mtn eateries for having beers at lunch."They don't think it be like it is, but it do."

havent heard of USFS people busting safety meetings up at Bridger. However, closing day last year they had 2 USFS guys on skis all day and walking around the top after lifts closed. No lighting up last year. Although half the skiers up there could out ski those bastards.

quality use of tax dollars. fucking idiots. i'd rather them spend the tax money and get someone to fix the I-70 problem.
while up at steamboat a few weeks ago there were LEOs at the top of the gondola monitoring people coming off to see if they were doing anything "illegal."
