    Screaming while skiing pow...

Is it just me, or is hooting and hollering while ripping pow lines with buddies possibly the best feeling ever? I honestly think that if I'm not yelling while skiing pow, I'm holding something back and not having as good of a time as I could be.

Maybe I'm just obnoxious as hell... but I'm pretty sure I screamed "Yeah! Fuck yeah!" in excess of 75 times yesterday. I'm pretty stoked about it.

yea, i've been known to hoot and holler a little bit in the pow
forgot to stop hollering while preparing to duck a rope (no avy danger)...and thus brought patrol out of their shack who promptly shooed us away.
other than that, it's always a good feeling!

I had on my "O" face this am- was able to sneak out for a few runs then back to the office. Was even sweeter, because turns are post-op and all parts held. Nothing like a few powder turns to make paying surgery bills sting less.

If that were the case, I would have been screaming "yeehaw!" But by that logic I should be yelling "wicked!"

Sometimes it's tough to stay quiet too, especially when you don't want to let others know what's going on.

I like to call it "powder screams". I was thinking of making a album of just powder screams heard all around the world on huge pow days. different tracks would be powder screams from different locations.....colorado, jackson, alaska, canada, euro. you get the idea. there were some goodies at Jackson today

There's always some dude screaming his lungs out in a 6 inch pile of chopped-up crap while I'm in the woods enjoying the serenity and the snow, shut the fuck up already, dude.

My ski buddy and bro-in-law is still recovering from ACL surgury. He won't be able to ski until March. So, on his behalf, I will be yelling Kyle along with my hooting and hollering on all deep days. That is what he wants right now... to live(ski) vicariously through me and to have me yell Kyle when I rip good pow lines.

    WOOOO HOOOO!!!

I'm sure we all do it! I was at Alta all last week and early this week and even when I couldn't see shit on the hill I could tell where my friends were by all the yelling. One friend screams: "FUCK YA!!!" on almost every face shot. Another is a pretty consistent OOOO AHHH OOOO AHHH on each turn. It's really funny.

I've been told that I yell "HELL YA!!!" but, I couldn't confirm that. LOL

I would expect that type of language at Dennys, but not at Alta.

I take the Jim Brown approach after a touchdown. Act like you've been there before.

^^that's definitely the LCC attitude, but you're skiing for yourself, not as a performance for a crowd, right? I don't think acting like the spectator of a Jim Brown TD is any less appropriate than acting like the guy who crossed the goalline.

I've been caught on video by a buddy screaming " spank the puppy, spank him" while skiing pow. Don't know why but it works for me.
