I skied the 28.5 TLT5 on some tiny (173?) Dynafit Stokes. I ratcheted the boots down as tight as I could make them go; I don't think the boot last fits my foot very well, as the 28.5 still felt a bit too long, and too high volume over the forefoot. (The 27.5 fit better everywhere except the width across the forefoot, which would need to be stretched out about 1.5cm to be tolerable.)
I took one run, and got these boots off as fast as possible. Scary soft flex -- it feels like I can fold this boot in half just by flexing my ankle. I think my Intuition liners alone are stiffer than these boots.
For those of you saying the TLT5 is as stiff as your other AT boots, you must be skiing some insanely soft boots. There is no way I can ski this boot. Too bad, since it has an amazing walk mode, and is incredibly light weight.
Other gripe: forward lean is not adjustable, and it's too far forward for my liking.
My usual AT boot: Garmont Axon, no modifications except for an Intuition alpine overlap liner. I ski it downhill in the more upright of the two forward lean settings.
